Ananya Panday, who recently made headlines with her Paris Haute Couture Week debut on January 22, dropped pictures from the event and penned an Instagram note on Wednesday, sharing her experience of walking down the ramp as the showstopper for designer Rahul Mishra’s Superheroes collection.
“This was such a moment! Walking for @rahulmishra_7 at Paris Couture Week… I loved the idea behind his collection ‘SUPERHEROES’ which draws attention to the nuances of sharing life with species of insects and reptiles that inhabit the environment with us,” wrote the 25-year-old in the caption to a carousel featuring behind-the-scenes stills and clips.
Rahul’s Superheroes collection draws inspiration from the animal kingdom, aiming to raise awareness about insect species that are on the verge of extinction.
One of the dresses that the Kho Gaye Hum Kahan wore — and pictures of which did the rounds on the internet — comprised a huge circular sieve, embellished with sequined designs of insects, attached to a shimmery black bodycon dress.
Ananya also rocked a huge 3D dragonfly bustier worn over a black column skirt, and a white-and-golden sequined gown.
Rahul also shared a video featuring Ananya in various ensembles from his collection. In his post, the designer thanked the actress from her ‘electric presence’ and ‘heartwarming nature’.
On the work front, Ananya is all set to make her web series debut with the Amazon Prime Video show Call Me Bae. She will also be seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s yet-untitled film.
