Ana de Armas’s Eve Macarro, a ballerina-turned-assassin, embarks on a quest to avenge the killing of her family members in the action-packed trailer of John Wick spin-off Ballerina, also starring Keanu Reeves as Baba Yaga.

Set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4, the two-minute-24-second trailer delves into the origins of Eve Macarro. The video follows her journey as she undergoes rigorous training after being taken under the wing of Winston, a high-ranking member of the High Table and close ally of John Wick.

From launching attacks at an ice skating rink to extinguishing flamethrowers with a hose, Eve showcases her combat skills as she cuts down enemies with ease. The highlight of the trailer, however, is Eve’s encounter with the legendary Baba Yaga John Wick (Keanu Reeves), who will reprise his role in the upcoming film.

“Taking place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Ballerina follows Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) who is beginning her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma,” reads the official synopsis of the film.

Armas will be joined by franchise veterans Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston, and the late Lance Reddick, along with new cast members Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Norman Reedus. Ballerina is directed by Len Wiseman.

Ballerina is expected to hit screens in 2025.
