Hollywood actress Amy Schumer has revealed that she dropped out of Barbie due to creative differences with the makers rather than any scheduling conflict before it went to Margot Robbie.

“I think we earlier said it was scheduling conflicts, that’s what we said. But yeah, it really was just creative differences,” the actress said while answering a question at a recent interview on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

The Trainwreck actress was initially chosen as the face who would have brought the famous doll to life on the big screen. The screenplay was headed by Hilary Winston at that time. But the project got scrapped after Schumer decided to drop out of it. Later, Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig were roped in for a new screenplay with Margot Robbie in the titular role.

The 42-year-old, however, praised the look of the upcoming film. “I can’t wait to see the movie. I think it looks awesome. There’s a new team behind it and it looks like it’s very feminist and cool, so I will be seeing this movie,” she said.

The actress also shared a few images from the show on Instagram and wrote, “@bravoandy thanks for having me! @clinttorresbeauty @apetownes @chloehartstein.”

Barbie is set to be released in the US on July 21.
