Goodbye

Amitabh Bachchan has unveiled the first poster and announced the release date of his upcoming family drama Goodbye, which also marks the Bollywood debut of Pushpa: The Rise actress Rashmika Mandanna.

“Family company is the most special ✨ When no one is near, their feeling remains ❤️ #Goodbye releasing in cinemas near you on 7th October 2022!,” Bachchan wrote on Instagram alongside a poster of the film.

Directed by Vikas Bahl, Goodbye is a slice-of-life story of an Indian family. The first poster showcases Bachchan and Rashmika in a beautiful father-daughter moment. Goodbye will arrive in theatres on October 7.

Padavettu

The first trailer of Malayalam film star Navin Pauly’s upcoming political thriller Padavettu is out. Directed by Liju Krishna, the film also features Aditi Balan, Shammi Thilakan, Shine Tom Chacko and Indrans in important roles.

The two-minute-10-second-long trailer gives us a sneak peek into the political dynamics of Kerala and presents an ugly side of the power struggle. “The fight for yourself, for your people, for your soil!” reads the tagline of the film.

Padavettu will arrive in theatres on October 21.

Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu

The trailer of director Gautham Vasudev Menon’s upcoming gangster thriller Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is out. Silambarasan TR plays a fearsome gangster, Muthu, in the film produced by Isari K. Ganesh. The music of the film is composed by A.R. Rahman.

Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is set to hit theatres on September 9.

Dahan

Disney+ Hotstar has dropped the trailer of an upcoming supernatural horror series, Dahan. Headlined by Tisca Chopra, the series is directed by Vikranth Pawar, best known for his National award-winning short fiction film Kaatal.

The one-minute-53-second trailer shows an IAS officer (Tisca) ordering a mining expedition in a village fabled with a temple that can unleash a deadly curse when harmed. The nine-episode series also features actors Rajesh Tailang, Mukesh Tiwari, Saurabh Shukla, Ankur Nayyar, Rohan Joshi and Lehar Khan.

Dahan will start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on September 16.
