Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Sanjay Dutt remember Pamela Chopra

Tributes poured in for Pamela Chopra following her demise on Thursday, with Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and several other Bollywood stars taking to social media to remember the singer-producer.

“Life is so unpredictable and tough,” Bachchan wrote on his blog, reacting to the news of the 74-year-old’s demise. “So much to have spent with her and the film making and the music sittings and the outdoors and the homely get togethers .. all gone in a breath .. And one by one they all leave us .. all left with the pleasant times spent .. And after this ordeal of the first day .. a quick visit to Yash ji’s home and meeting the family and reliving all those years of the past,” he added.

Ajay Devgn condoled Pamela’s death and extended his support to the bereaved family. "My thoughts & prayers are with Adi, Rani, Uday and all members of the Chopra family in their hour of grief. RIP respected Pam Chopra Ji Om Shanti,” he tweeted.

“Pam aunty’s warmth, grace, her fabulous sense of humour, her smile.. we will miss you. Deepest condolences to all who knew her because she left them all with something kind. 🙏,” Kajol wrote on Twitter.

Anushka Sharma, who started her career in the Hindi film industry with Yash Raj Films’ Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008), shared YRF’s obituary note on her Instagram story. "RIP Pam aunty," she wrote.

Mourning the passing away of Pamela, lyricist Javed Akhtar tweeted, "Today Pam ji the better half of Shri Yash Chopra has passed away. She was a great lady. Intelligent, educated, warm and witty. Those who like me have worked closely with Yash ji know about her contribution in his scripts and music. She was an exceptional person."

"My heart is heavy with the news of Pamela aunty's passing. Her impact on the industry and the lives she touched will always be remembered," Sanjay Dutt wrote on the microblogging platform.

Poonam Dhillon penned an emotional note for her “mentor” on Instagram. “Lost a tremendous lady of Grace, Intelligence, integrity, love, strength, generosity PAMELA YASH CHOPRA .. can go on about her Limitless amazing qualities,” she wrote alongside a photo of Pamela.

Anupam Kher also paid tribute to Pamela and Yash Chopra. ''Goodbye Pam Chopra!! You and Yash Ji were an integral and important part of my years in Mumbai! I always considered your smile as one of the beautiful gifts given to me by life. I was lucky that I got to spend a lot of time with you! Om Shanti!🙏😍🕉 #PamelaChopra,'' he posted on Instagram.

“Sincere condolences to the entire Chopra Family at this hour of bereavement. Rest in Peace Pamela Chopra Ji. 🙏,” Suniel Shetty tweeted.

Actress Urmila Matondkar also condoled the passing of Pamela. “Pamji..a woman with great strength, immense affection n warmth. You will be missed dearly. They don’t make like you anymore ❤️ RIP #PamelaChopra ji 🙏🏻Om Shanti 🙏🏻Deepest condolences to the Adi,Rani,Uday n all at @yrf 🙏🏻,” she wrote.
