Actress Amala Paul's boyfriend Jagat Desai caught the actress off guard by getting down on one knee and proposing to her following a dance performance on her 32nd birthday in Goa.
Sharing a video showing glimpses of the special day on Instagram, Jagat wrote, “My Gypsy Queen said yes ❤️ #weddingbells Happy birthday my love 🎂.”
The video begins with a view of a resort in Goa, where the Mynaa actress is currently vacationing. It shows the couple sitting on a couch and watching a performance by a dance group before one of them pulls Jagat to the dance floor. He grooves along to a song with the others while Amala watches in awe.
After a few steps, one of the performers brings Amala to the dancing area and Jagat quickly pulls out a ring before getting down on one knee. Amala gets surprised and replies with a heartfelt “yes”, planting kisses on Jagat.
The couple made their relationship public in August with a selfie on Jagat’s Instagram feed in which Amala can be seen holding him from behind.
Amala, who made her acting debut with the 2009 film Neelathamara, is known for her films like Mynaa (2010), Deiva Thirumagal (2011) and Thalaivaa (2013). The actress was last seen in the Tamil film Cadaver (2022) and in the Malayalam film The Teacher (2022).
