Actress Amala Paul and her husband Jagat Desai welcomed a baby boy Ilai on June 11, she has announced on Instagram, sharing a video of herself and the newborn.
The video shows Amala in a white long dress as she holds her baby boy in her arms. When she enters the baby’s room, she gets surprised seeing the balloons and decorations. The video is set to Akshath’s song Nadaaniyan.
“‘It's a boy’!! Meet our little miracle, ‘ILAI’. Born on 11.06.2024,” the 32-year-old actress wrote on Monday.
Actress Pearle Maaney took to the comments section to congratulate the new mum and the baby. “Awwwwww. Welcome home baby,” she wrote.
Fans also congratulated the couple on the happy occasion. “Congratulations love. Welcome back,” one of them wrote.
Amala had announced her pregnancy a couple of months after she tied the knot with Jagat on November 5 last year. “Now I know that 1+1 is 3 with you,” the actress had written alongside a series of pictures with her husband.
Amala, who made her acting debut with the 2009 film Neelathamara, is known for films like Mynaa (2010), Deiva Thirumagal (2011) and Thalaivaa (2013). The actress was last seen in the Tamil film Cadaver (2022) and in the Malayalam film The Teacher (2022).
