Amala Paul is expecting a baby with husband Jagat Desai a couple of months after they tied the knot, the actress revealed in a social media post on Wednesday alongside pictures from a special seaside maternity shoot.

“Now I know that 1+1 is 3 with you,” wrote the actress alongside the pictures in which her husband is cradling her baby bump.

One of the pictures in the carousel shows Jagat embracing Amala from behind, while another is a shot of their feet.

Amala looked gorgeous in a red crop top paired with a red slit skirt and a statement necklace,while Jagat sported a casual shirt for the pregnancy photoshoot.

Fellow artists extended their heartfelt wishes to the couple. “Big big congratulations you two...lots of love and blessings to the little cutie,” wrote actress Kajal A Kitchlu. Actor Srinish Aravind also reacted to the post with hearts.

Amala, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Ajay Devgn with Bholaa, had tied the knot with Jagat in a lavender-themed wedding ceremony in Kochi on November 5. The couple had taken their vows surrounded by family and friends at Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty.

On the work front, Amala is all set to star in Arfaz Ayub’s drama Level Cross alongside Asif Ali and Sharafudheen. The 32-year-old actress will also appear in director Blessy Ipe Thomas’ survival drama film The Goat Life, slated to release in April 2024.
