A wax statue of National Award-winning actor Allu Arjun will be unveiled at the Madame Tussauds Museum in Dubai later this year, the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of the museum announced via a video shared on Thursday.

“National Award winner; the first Telugu Actor in 69 years to win this award and icon of dance moves, the one and only Allu Arjun is all set to come face to face with his wax twin at Madame Tussauds Dubai later this year,” wrote the X handle of Madame Tussauds Museum, Dubai, alongside the video that shows Allu arriving at the museum in an all-black formal outfit and greeting the members.

“In a way, it’s a very surreal experience because as a kid when I went to Madame Tussauds, I never imagined that I would see myself as a wax figure at Madame Tussauds,” Allu said in the video.

The 41-year-old actor was seen posing with an eye sample while the museum members took measurements of his face and body for his wax figure.

Allu recently bagged the best actor award at the 69th National Film Awards for his role in the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise, helmed by Sukumar. He will be reprising his role of the gangster Pushpa in the sequel Pushpa 2: The Rule, slated to hit theatres on August 15 next year. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in important roles.
