Actor Allu Arjun has dropped a video of him performing a quirky ‘chai step’ to the beats of the recently released Pushpa 2: The Rule song Pushpa Pushpa, making fans go gaga over the dance move involving a glass of tea.
“#ChaiStep From #PushpaPushpa....Iss Baar Hargiz Jhukega Nahi Saala. #Pushpa2TheRule,” the actor captioned his post on Instagram on Friday.
The video features Allu stepping out of a car, grabbing a glass of tea, and dancing energetically with it. The clip concludes with his famous ‘Jhukega Nahi’ dialogue and the accompanying chin-rub pose.
Actors Sophie Choudry and Adnan Sajid Khan also reacted to the post, showering love on Allu. “Woahhh!!! Chai biscoot has never looked so cool,” read Sophie’s comment.
Recently, Allu’s shoe-drop step from the peppy track caught the attention of Australian cricketer David Warner. “Oh dear, how good is this. Now I’ve got some work to do,” he wrote in the comments section of a post from the actor.
Composed by Devi Sri Prasad, Pushpa Pushpa has been sung by Nakash Aziz and Deepak Blue. The song is a tribute to Allu’s protagonist Pushpa Raj.
Record label T-Series dropped a lyrical video of Pushpa Pushpa on May 1. The music video for the song is yet to be released.
A sequel to 2021’s Pushpa: The Rise, Pushpa 2: The Rule also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. Additionally, the action thriller features Dhanunjay, Rao Ramesh, Suneel, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Ajay Ghosh in key roles.
The music for Pushpa 2 is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with cinematography by Miroslaw Kuba Brozek and editing by Karthika Srinivas.
On April 8, the makers of Pushpa 2 unveiled a special teaser marking Allu’s birthday. The video shows the actor participating in Jatharaa, a festival observed in Telangana to pay homage to tribal goddesses. The teaser, which shows a sari-clad Allu fighting goons, has garnered over 12 million views on YouTube since its release.
Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, is set to lock horns with Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again at the box office on Independence Day.
