Pushpa 2: The Rule stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna joined actress Sreeleela on stage at a ‘Wildfire Event’ organised by the makers of the movie in Chennai on Sunday.
At the event, Allu set the dance floor ablaze as he performed the hook step of the upcoming film’s title track Pushpa Pushpa, composed by Devi Sri Prasad. “For the love of Chennai, once on the Pushpa Pushpa track,” said Allu before bringing the house down with his steps.
The makers also shared a video of Rashmika entering the venue of the event, looking gorgeous in a pink sari. The crowd erupted in cheers as Rashmika made her appearance. The actress then embraced Sreeleela, who stepped forward to greet her.
Another video shows Sreeleela dancing to the beats of the much-awaited song Kissik, which was launched at the event. Popularly known as ‘dancing queen’ among fans, the 23-year-old actress dazzled in a white sari and matching accessories.
The lyrical video, dropped by T-Series on YouTube on Sunday, offers glimpses of Sreeleela performing electrifying steps in a black lehenga. Allu Arjun’s Pushpa Raj also joins her on the dance floor. The actress later changes into a shimmery beige outfit.
Lothika and Sublahshini have lent their voice to the track composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Raqueeb Alam has penned the lyrics for the song.
The Sunday event was also attended by producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu, composer Devi Sri Prasad and filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 is the sequel to Allu’s 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise, which became a massive box-office success across India.
Pushpa: The Rise starred Allu as Pushpa Raj, a lorry driver rising through the ranks of a red sandalwood smuggling syndicate. Rashmika played Pushpa’s beloved, Srivalli, a milk seller whom he married towards the end of the film.
The trailer for Pushpa 2 hints that Pushpa is now operating on a global level. The video also features Fahadh Faasil, who will reprise his role as Pushpa’s archenemy, SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, in the sequel.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is slated to hit theatres on December 5.
