Allu Arjun gets appreciation letter from Telugu Film Producers Council following National Award win: ‘It’s a great honour’

The 41-year-old actor bagged the best actor award at the 69th National Film Awards for his role in the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise

The Telugu Film Producers Council has addressed a congratulatory letter to Allu Arjun following his National Award win, heaping praise on the actor for his performance in the 2021 movie Pushpa: The Rise, for which he bagged the best actor trophy.

The 41-year-old posted a picture of the letter on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday and said that he was “humbled by” the appreciation letter.

“Indeed it is a great honour to you and the Telugu film industry. In this connection, we on behalf of the Telugu Film Producers Council, congratulate you and wish you more achievement,” the letter from Telugu Film Producers Council read.

Pushpa: The Rise marks the franchise's opening film, helmed by Sukumar. Starring Allu as Pushparaj, it hit theatres on December 17, 2021. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in important roles.

Allu made his entry into the Telugu film industry as a child actor in 1985. His first film in the lead role was Gangotri in 2003. He gained national recognition as an actor through the massive success of Pushpa: The Rise in 2021.
