The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Wednesday gave a shout-out to Bollywood star Alia Bhatt, sharing a video of her dance performance in the Ghar More Pardesiya music video from 2019’s Kalank.
The music video of the semi-classical number sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Vaishali Mhade showcases Alia’s Kathak performance choreographed by Remo D'souza. Helmed by Abhishek Varman, the period drama was produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and also featured Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha and Madhuri Dixit.

Ghar More Pardesiya is the second song by Shreya Ghoshal to be featured on The Academy’s Instagram page. Last month, her song Deewani Mastani from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2016 film Bajirao Mastani, starring Deepika Padukone, also received a mention.
Released in 2019, Kalank bombed at th4 box office despite its star-studded lineup. However, Ghar More Pardesiya turned out to be a chartbuster, garnering over 139 million views on YouTube alone.
