Actress Alia Bhatt’s production house Eternal Sunshine Productions has teamed up with All Living Things Environmental Film Festival (ALT EFF) 2023 to use the power of cinema to address environmental topics.

“It is such an honour to be associated with All Living Things Environmental Film Festival 2023. Cinema is not just a form of entertainment; it’s also a powerful tool for sparking an important conversation, and the festival is a great amalgamation of the same,” said Alia, who joins the fourth edition of the festival as its advocate.

The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress also talked about her production house, which she co-founded with sister Shaheen Bhatt. “At Eternal Sunshine Productions, our aim is to tell stories that evoke thought or change in whatever way possible and it’s such a joy for us at Eternal to be supporting a festival that wants to tell powerful stories while being environmentally conscious, driving meaningful change. As a young production company, this will be an instrumental learning step towards fulfilling this vision.”

The festival’s goal of bringing sustainability and storytelling together aligns with the actress’s commitment to using her influential platform for the greater good.

ALT EFF, dubbed as India’s largest environmental film festival, aims to reach diverse audiences, encouraging dialogue and promoting awareness of environmental challenges that demand collective attention.

This year’s festival is set to take place in 20 cities across the country from December 1 to 10. Films from over 50 countries with crucial environmental messages will be screened. These include Leonardo DiCaprio-produced We are Guardians and Jason Momoa-produced Deep Rising.
