Actress Alia Bhatt recently turned heads with her ethnic look at Saudi Arabia’s Joy Awards ceremony, where she received the Honorary Entertainment Makers Award for her contribution to Indian cinema. Here’s a look.
Sharing photos from the award ceremony, Alia Bhatt reminisced about her time at the event held in Riyadh on January 20. “To a night of culture, honour & cinema,” she wrote in the caption.
Alia’s traditional look for the award ceremony was curated by Rhea Kapoor.
The 30-year-old actress walked down the red carpet in a custom-made Abujani Sandeep Khosla ajrakh-print red-and-blue sari, which she paired with a matching off-shoulder cape, a long train and golden drop-down earrings.
After receiving her award, Alia dedicated the trophy to the magic of movies. “I take back with me the love of the movies and the love that I felt here in Riyadh,” she said in her acceptance speech.
Patralekhaa, Saba Pataudi, Shibani Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, Shobita Dhulipala commented on Alia’s post with emoticons. Her mother Soni Razdan wrote “Soooo lovely” in the comment section.
Alia has emerged as the most popular Bollywood actress of 2023 in a new Ormax media report. Last year, she was seen in Karan Johanr’s Rocky Aur Rani kii Prem Kahaani alongside Ranveer Singh.
Alia will be next seen in Vasan Bala’s Jigra, a film she is co-producing with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
