Actress Alia Bhatt shared a behind-the-scenes video of her preparation for her Met Gala debut two days after the fashion event, held on May 1 in New York City, drawing words of encouragement from Deepika Padukone.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, the Raazi actress shared a video of her trying on the gown. "When you talk about one of the major events in the year globally, the first that comes to mind is the Met Gala. It is very exciting, but I will definitely tell you that when I am stepping out of that sprinter van, I am going to feel a little wobble in my knees. It is not going to be really nice because I have a very big dress and very high shoes,” she said in the video.

Alia also joked with her designer and his team. "Cool, can somebody like lift me up now, and place me on the (Met Gala) carpet from here?" the Raazi actress said. “Mumbai to Met,” one of the team members chimed in, to which Alia sheepishly smiled. She was also seen making the heart sign for her fans at the Met Gala. “I love you,” she was heard saying to them.

“You did it,” Deepika wrote in the comment section, along with a heart emoji, sparking interest among the fans of the two actresses. Deepika was recently trolled for posting pictures from her stint at the Oscars, hours before Alia’s big debut at the Met Gala.

This year's theme for the Met Gala was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty to celebrate the works of the German designer. Alia had worn a white gown at the annual fashion gala in New York City. Designed by Prabal Gurung, the gown was hand embroidered with pearls embedded on it. Priyanka Chopra, Natasha Poonawalla and Isha Ambani were the other Indian celebrities, apart from Alia, who attended the event.
