Alia Bhatt hasn’t been promoting her maiden Hollywood film Heart of Stone as a mark of support to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike in the US, the actress revealed during an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram on Wednesday.
"As a team, we stand behind the SAG-AFTRA strike, and as a mark of solidarity, we haven't been promoting the movie,” she wrote in response to a question.
Actors and writers in Hollywood have been on strike demanding better compensation and limited use of artificial intelligence since May this year.
Alia’s film Heart of Stone, a spy-action thriller also starring Gal Gadot, is currently streaming on Netflix. She was last seen promoting the film with Gadot during Netflix’s Tudum event in Brazil in June.
During the session on Instagram, Alia also shared an unseen picture of her and husband Ranbir Kapoor, calling him her “happy place” and “favourite photographer”.
When a fan asked her if her current profile picture was clicked by her husband, the Darlings star posted another picture of her which was also taken by Ranbir on the same day. The photo is from their Masai Mara trip in Kenya, where Ranbir had reportedly proposed to Alia for marriage.
In the picture, Alia can be seen in a squatting position with her hand placed on her cheek. She called Ranbir her “favourite photographer” and wrote, “Yes! Even this one..he’s my most fav photographer..EVER!”
Out of all the pictures, a cosy, never-before-seen photo where Ranbir can be seen kissing Alia’s forehead stole everyone’s hearts. Alia called Ranbir her “happy place”. She wrote, “He’s my happy place cause I can be my truest authentic self with him.”
Alia, who opened up about suffering from anxiety back in 2019, shared how she manages anxiety and panic attacks. “If you're going through an anxiety attack, you can do what I do...focus on five things that you can sense. And if it's just a phase, know that change is the only constant and this too will change."
Alia and Ranbir tied the knot on April 14, 2022 and the couple welcomed their child on November 6.
