Actress Alia Bhatt joined Grammy-winning DJ Alan Walker on stage during the latter’s Bengaluru concert on Friday.
Sharing a video of the duo interacting with the audience while the Jigra song Chal Kudiye plays in the background, production house Dharma Movies wrote on Instagram, “Surprise surprise! Thank you for your energy #Bengaluru & your love @alanwalkermusic!#Jigra releasing in Hindi & Telugu - in cinemas this Friday.”
Several videos and pictures of Alia greeting the audience with “Namaskara Bengaluru” are circulating on social media.
Alia also shared a photo with Alan on her Instagram story with the caption, “A very very #Jigra collab.”
In the photo, Alan sports a grey hoodie paired with black trousers and a mask. Alia, on the other hand, dons a blue denim strapless co-ord set for the show. The picture shows the duo jamming together.
The Norwegian DJ’s Walkerworld Tour kicked off on September 27 in Kolkata and will conclude on October 20. Presented by Sunburn, the tour will span ten Indian cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Shillong and Chennai. Directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra, also featuring Vedang Raina, is set to release in theatres on October 11. It is a story about a sister’s (Alia) fight to save her brother (Vedang) against all odds. “An emotional action thriller. A series of unfortunate events leads to the sister set out on a journey of excruciating pain, vigour and a will that cannot be bent until her brother is free,” reads the film’s synopsis on IMDb.
Jigra is the third project under Alia’s home banner Eternal Sunshine Productions after 2022’s Netfllix dark comedy Darlings and 2024’s Amazon Prime Video crime-drama series Poacher. It marks Alia’s first collaboration with director Vasan Bala, who is known for thrillers like Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota (2018) and Monica, O My Darling (2022).
