After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Indian actress Alia Bhatt has been roped in as the global ambassador for L’Oréal Paris, the French cosmetics brand announced on Tuesday before dropping an advertisement that challenges society's perception of women.
“Empowered, Inspired, Unstoppable. We are thrilled to welcome Alia Bhatt as the new global ambassador of L’Oréal Paris. Alia’s belief that every woman deserves to feel empowered aligns with the spirit of our mission. We are excited to collaborate with her to celebrate and elevate every woman’s unique worth. Welcome to the L’Oréal Paris Family,” wrote the renowned beauty brand on Instagram.
The pictures feature Alia in a dusty pink suit, paired with a white tee bearing the brand’s tagline “I’m worth it”. Alia sports the same outfit in the advertisement, where she confidently debunks the stereotypes often imposed on women. “I can speak up and be heard; look good and embrace my ever-changing body because that’s the true measure of my self-worth. My choice is my worth. I am Alia Bhatt, and I am worth it, and so are you,” says Alia, rejecting the restrictive standards that women are often expected to adhere to in a male-dominated society.
Several Bollywood actresses, including Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif, have endorsed L’Oréal Paris over the years.
Alia also became the first Indian global brand ambassador for Gucci in May 2023. Earlier this year, the actress grabbed eyeballs at the Gucci Cruise 2025 fashion show by Sabato De Sarno in London.
On the work front, Alia will soon be seen in Vasan Bala’s Jigra alongside Vedang Raina. Backed by director-producer Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia's home banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions, the thriller is slated to hit theatres on October 11. Additionally, the 31-year-old actress is set to headline YRF Spy Universe’s first female-led film Alpha alongside Munjya actress Sharvari Wagh.
The National Award-winning actress recently launched her own children’s book, The Adventures of Ed-a-Mamma: Ed Finds A Home. In 2020, she launched Ed-a-Mamma, a sustainable clothing range for kids. The actress made her Hollywood debut in August last year with Tom Harper’s Netflix spy action thriller Heart of Stone.
