Actress Alia Bhatt on Monday dropped a set of behind-the-scenes pictures and videos from the sets of her latest film Jigra.

The first picture shows Alia sporting an oversized shirt and jeans, and getting into a car in a foreign location. She is all smiles as she turns to the camera. Alia poses for the lens in a white-and-purple striped shirt and jeans on the sets of Jigra in another photo. A video dropped by the actress shows glimpses from the poster shoot of the film.

In another candid moment, she is seen deep in conversation with director Vasan Bala between takes. A picture showed her in bloodied clothes and a wounded face.

“A journey full of Jigra,” Alia captioned the pictures on Instagram.

Jigra is the third project under Alia’s home banner Eternal Sunshine Productions after Netflix’s 2022 dark comedy Darlings and Amazon Prime Video’s 2024 crime-drama series Poacher. The film marks Alia’s first collaboration with Bala, who is known for thrillers like Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota (2018) and Monica, O My Darling (2022).

Alia, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Shaheen Bhatt and Somen Mishra are credited as producers of the film.

Also starring Vedang Raina, Jigra has received mixed reviews from fans and critics since its release on October 11. The film, which revolves around a woman determined to rescue her brother from a foreign jail, has also been accused of plagiarism and rigged box office collections.
