YRF Spy Universe’s first female-led film Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh, is set to hit theatres on December 25, 2025, Alia announced on Friday.
Alia revealed the release date on X alongside a concept poster. “#ALPHA 💥 25.12.2025,” she wrote.
Sharvari, too, took to her Instagram handle and shared the news. “Lighting up the theatres with #ALPHA on Christmas 2025,” she captioned the poster.
Alpha is directed by Shiv Rawail, known for the Netflix series The Railway Men: The Untold Story of Bhopal 1984, and films like Fan (2016) and Dhoom 3 (2013). The film is produced by Aditya Chopra.
The YRF Spy Universe boasts record-breaking hits such as Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Hrithik Roshan’s War (2019) and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan (2023).
While Sharvari recently grabbed headlines for her stellar performances in Aditya Sarpotdar’s Munjya, the Junaid Khan-led historical drama Maharaj and John Abraham-starrer Vedaa, Alia is currently awaiting the release of her home banner Eternal Sunshine Productions’s third film Jigra. Also starring Vedang Raina, Jigra is slated to hit theatres on October 11.
