Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (RRKPK) minted Rs 23.3 crore nett during its second weekend, going past the 100-crore mark with a total collection of Rs 103.48 crore nett at the domestic box office in 10 days, according to Box Office India figures.
RRKPK is the sixth Hindi film to hit the Rs 100-crore milestone at the domestic box office in 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, Ranbir Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Adah Sharma-starrer The Kerala Story and Prabhas’s Adipurush.
RRRPK had a decent opening on July 28, minting Rs 11.1 crore nett on the day of its release. It went on to earn Rs 34.8 crore nett during the first weekend and collected Rs 73.33 crore nett at the end of its first week of theatrical run.
The Karan Johar directorial began its second week at the box office with a collection of Rs 6.75 crore nett on second Friday, followed by Rs 11.4 crore nett on its second Saturday and Rs 11.9 crore nett on second Sunday.
Also starring Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, Churni Ganguly and Tota Roy Choudhury in key roles, RRRPK has grossed Rs 178 crore worldwide in 10 days, according to Box Office India reports.
