Actor Ali Fazal, who recently starred in the Tabu-led spy thriller Khufiya, has lent his voice to a character in the Hindi-dubbed version of the anime adaptation of Korean webtoon Solo Leveling, slated to stream on Crunchyroll from January 6, 2024.

Known for working in international projects alongside Hollywood A-listers like Gal Gadot and Gerard Butler, Fazal is the voice of Korean C-rank hunter Song Chiyul in the new anime adaptation.

The actor said he was really excited about lending his voice to the anime character. “Joining the cast of Solo Leveling and lending my voice to one of its gritty characters is a unique and exciting opportunity. I always strive to do something new with each of my projects, and this opportunity is definitely among them.”

Describing the character of Song Chiyul as truly remarkable, Fazal went on to say that he was honoured to be part of the project. “Working with Crunchyroll and being a part of the anime world is a fresh and thrilling experience for me. I had a great time being the voice behind this character in Hindi,” he added.

A fan-exclusive two-episode premiere of the new anime series will take place in Mumbai on December 20.
