Ali Fazal-Gerard Butler-starrer Kandahar to arrive in cinemas in May

Directed by Ric Roman Waugh, the movie also features Navid Negahban, Travis Fimmel and Elnaaz Norouzi

Actor Ali Fazal’s newest international project — Kandahar — is all set to arrive in cinemas on May 26. He will be seen alongside Gerard Butler, Navid Negahban, Travis Fimmel and Elnaaz Norouzi in the thriller movie.

Directed by Ric Roman Waugh, the film follows an undercover CIA operative, Tom Harris (Gerard Butler), working in a hostile territory in Afghanistan. Once his mission is exposed, he attempts to escape to an extraction point in Kandahar with his translator, dodging enemy eyes and foreign spies.

“I look forward to the release of Kandahar. The entire team has worked really hard and it’s been a great pleasure to work with Gerard Butler. Since the movie is looking at a worldwide release, we hope people across the globe would enjoy it,” said Ali.

The Death on the Nile actor recently posted the trailer of Kandahar on Instagram. “Watch the tease before the bang for my explosive action thriller, KANDAHAR. You’ll get an idea whats about to Hit and whats about a miss 😜😉. Just biking through the valley here,” he wrote.
