The trailer of Anurag Kashyap’s Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat, starring Alaya F and debutante Karan Mehta, follows the story of two pairs of star-crossed lovers — one in Dalhousie and the other in London— willing to go the extra mile for love.

The two-minute-16-second-long trailer, released on Thursday, shows both Alaya and Karan in double roles. Amrita, played by Alaya, hails from a small town in Dalhousie where she finds love in Yaqub (Karan Mehta) who promises to take her to a DJ Mohabbat concert.

Miles away in London, DJ Mohabbat, also played by Karan, meets an outgoing party-goer Ayesha (Alaya) and the two fall in love. The unconventional pairs are bound by fate but torn apart by circumstances.

An Amit Trivedi musical, Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat is set for a February 3 premiere in theatres.

Touted as Kashyap’s take on modern love, the film had its world premiere at the Marrakech Film Festival on November 18 last year.
