Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff-starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan witnessed a 72.38 per cent drop in earnings on Day 5 at the domestic box office, collecting Rs 2.5 crore nett on Monday, according to trade figures from industry data-tracking platform Sacnilk.
The Ali Abbas Zafar-helmed actioner’s total collection in India now stands at Rs 43.3 crore nett.
Debuting on Thursday, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan kicked off with a collection of Rs 15.65 crore nett on Day 1, only to face lukewarm reception (Rs 7.6 crore nett) on the following day.
Also starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, Sonakshi Sinha, and Ronit Roy, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan earned less than Rs 20 crore over the weekend — Rs 8.5 crore nett on Saturday and Rs 9.05 crore net on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn's Maidaan also suffered a significant setback on its first Monday in theatres, experiencing a drastic drop in collections. Sacnilk reported a steep 76.56 per cent decline in the biographical sports drama’s India nett collection, with earnings plummeting to Rs 1.5 crore nett on Monday.
As of now, Maidaan’s total domestic nett collection stands at Rs 23.5 crore nett.
