Akshay Kumar on Tuesday unveiled a motion poster of his upcoming comedy film Khel Khel Mein, which boasts an ensemble cast including Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan and Ammy Virk.
“Yaaron waala khel… Yaari waali picture! Band Baaje ke mahaul mein… Band Bajaane waali picture! Say ‘hello’ to the biggest family entertainer of the year. Khel Khel Mein releasing in cinemas on 15th August 2024,” Akshay wrote alongside the poster on X (formerly Twitter).
The poster features the ensemble cast of the film including Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal.
Khel Khel Mein is reportedly a situational comedy centered on three couples. The story revolves around a group of friends who gather for dinner and unexpectedly reveal secrets about one another. This film is an adaptation of the 2017 Italian comedy-thriller Perfect Strangers.
Helmed by Pati Patni Aur Woh filmmaker Mudassar Aziz and backed by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, the film was initially slated to release in September.
Akshay Kumar last shared screen space with Taapsee Pannu in Mission Mangal, released in 2019. The actor also reunites with Vaani Kapoor after their 2021 action film Bell Bottom.
At present, Taapsee is preparing for the highly anticipated release of Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba, the sequel to her 2021 Netflix film Haseen Dillruba, also starring Vikrant Massey. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar will be appearing in Jolly LLB 3 and Welcome to the Jungle.
