The Indian VFX studio has secured a major stake in Goodbye Kansas through an offshore subsidiary and is launching a joint venture studio in India.

In his post, Ajay also mentioned that Goodbye Kansas’s world-class expertise will help them to redefine what VFX can achieve on a global scale. “The future of VFX is bright, and NY VFXWAALA and Goodbye Kansas are leading the change,” he signed off.

The collaboration between the two studios will contribute to the acceleration of revenue growth and global service strengthening, extending Goodbye Kansas Studio’s services in Asia and establishing a research and development team between both the partners.

“Our endeavours involve setting new benchmarks with each project. We embrace a continuous process of learning, evolution, and adaptation to the latest technologies. I am delighted to extend our NY family through the Goodbye Kansas partnership,” Ajay said in a statement.

Goodbye Kansas chairman Per Anders Wärn mentioned that NY VFXWAALA is an “ideal partner” for his team as it shares the “same dedication to outstanding talent, cutting edge technology and engaging narrative”.

Goodbye Kansas is known for creating cinematic trailers for games like Cyberpunk 2077, God of War: Ragnarök, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the Battlefield franchise and PUBG Battlegrounds. It has also contributed to recent shows such as True Detective Season 4, One Piece and Carnival Row and various commercials and feature films like Asteroid City and A Man Called Otto.

Ajay’s NY VFXWAALA, on the other hand, has worked on about 300 films including Baahubali 2, Bajirao Mastani, Taanaji, Tamasha, Drishyam and Dilwale.
