Ajay Devgn and Tabu-starrer Drishyam 2 dominated the box office on its third weekend, trumping Varun Dhawan-and-Kriti Sanon’s creature comedy Bhediya and Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer An Action Hero, according to Box Office India.
Drishyam 2, a psychological thriller directed by Abhishek Pathak, collected Rs 22 crore nett on its third weekend at the box office. According to Box Office India, the film has collected Rs 186.76 crore since its release on November 17.
An Action Hero, on the other hand, had a dismal start at the box office, earning around Rs 6 crore nett in its first weekend, as per box office records.
Despite rave reviews from critics, An Action Hero managed to raise only Rs 1.31 crore on Day 1. The collections saw some growth on Saturday, raking in Rs 2.16 crore nett. On Sunday, the film registered collections worth Rs 2.52 crore nett.
The Anirudh Iyer-directed film, which hit theatres on December 2, is also facing tough competition from Varun Dhawan-Kriti Sanon-starrer Bhediya.
In its second weekend, the Amar Kaushik-directed creature comedy Bhediya collected Rs. 8.75 crore nett, taking the total earnings of the film to Rs 52 crore nett, as per analysts.
