Actor Ajay Devgn has wished his wife Kajol on her 50th birthday in a note on social media, saying her infectious laughter and energy always bring joy to their family.
Sharing a picture with Kajol, who celebrated her birthday on August 5, Ajay went on to heap praise on his wife. Kajol is seen in a shimmery blue strapless dress as she holds Ajay’s arm in the photo.
“Your laughter is contagious, your love infinite, and your energy… well, I’m still catching up! Despite all the pranks I pull, you’re the one who brings joy to our lives. Celebrating you today and always. Happiest Birthday @kajol,” Ajay wrote in his note on Sunday.
Ajay and Kajol tied the knot on February 24, 1999, after meeting each other on the sets of their 1995 movie Hulchul. The couple celebrated their 25th marriage anniversary this year.
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who has directed Kajol in his 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, also wished the actress, describing her laugh and energy as “5000 shades of love”.
Sharing never-before-seen pictures with the actress, Karan wrote, “The warmest hug on planet earth… to the extent that you may need an MRI post it!!!! The love… the immense love that very few can express,share or give to their loved ones …. That 1000 watt smile and that infectious laugh…:.how can you describe the energy of Kajol without feeling 5000 shades of love.”
Saying that he feels rejuvenated and loved every time he meets her, Karan wrote, “ The one person that hasn’t changed one bit and never will! Love you Kads … to every planet and back! May this decade be beyond golden.”
Kajol’s Do Patti co-star Kriti Sanon took to her Instagram story to congratulate the birthday girl, calling her an inspiration to everyone. “Happy Birthday, Kajol Maam! Working with you again has been an incredible experience and I cannot wait for people to see your magic in Do Patti,” the Crew actress wrote alongside a picture with Kajol.
Kriti went on to cite Kajol as an inspiration for the current crop of Bollywood actresses. “You're not just an amazing person but an inspiration to all of us. I hope this year brings you immense happiness and joy. Sending you lots of love and a big, warm hug! @kajol,” she signed off.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has worked with Kajol in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and We Are Family, also wished the actress on her special day. “Happy birthday to the loveliest @kajol,” she wrote with a red heart emoji alongside a monochrome portrait of the actress.
Rakul Preet Singh shared a picture of Kajol in a golden sari on her Instagram story. “Happy Birthday. Wishing the incredibly talented Kajol Ma'am a very Happy Birthday! May this year bring you even more success, happiness, and memorable moments. Cheers to many more fabulous years,” she wrote.
Kajol will next appear in a never-before-seen action avatar in Maharagni alongside Naseeruddin Shah, Prabhudeva and Jisshu Sengupta. She will also star in Kayoze Irani’s thriller Sarzameen opposite Prithviraj Sukumaran as well as Netflix's mystery thriller Do Patti, which also features Kriti Sanon.
