Ajay Devgn-starrer Maidaan now streaming on Prime Video

The period sports drama helmed by Amit Sharma features Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh in key roles

Nearly two months after its theatrical release, Ajay Devgn-starrer Maidaan is now available to stream on Prime Video. The period sports drama directed by Amit Sharma was earlier available to rent on the OTT platform.

“Groundbreaking story of India’s finest hour in football #MaidaanOnPrime, Watch now,” the streamer wrote on X alongside a poster of the movie.

Maidaan depicts the golden era of Indian football during the 1950s and 1960s, featuring Ajay Devgn as coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who led the Indian team to significant victories. The film also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh in prominent roles.

Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Akash Chawla, the film features an ensemble cast including Madhur Mittal, Chaitanya Sharma, Tejas Ravishankar, Davinder Gill and Amartya Ray.

The film’s soundtrack composed by A.R. Rahman features five songs performed by Javed Ali, Richa Sharma, Hiral Viradia, Nakul Abhyankar, Vaishali Samant, MC Heam, and Rahman himself.

Released on April 11, Maidaan competed at the box office against Bade Miyan Chote Miyan starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. According to the industry data-tracking portal Sacnilk, it grossed Rs 70.75 crore worldwide.
