B Praak’s Aadha Main Aadhi Vo song from the upcoming Ajay Devgn-starrer Bholaa has struck a chord with listeners, garnering over 6 million views and more than one lakh likes on YouTube in less than 24 hours since its release on Wednesday.

Trending at No. 23 on YouTube, the song is an ode to the father-daughter relationship, which plays an important role in the upcoming film, also starring Tabu.

The music video shows Ajay’s Bholaa going through several hurdles while reminiscing about his 10-year-old daughter. Composed by Ravi Basrur with lyrics by Irshad Kamil, Aadha Main Aadhi Vo is the second song from Bholaa following Nazar Lag Jayegi.

Talking about the song, Ajay said, “There is no bond more sacred than one that is between a parent and a child… If you listen closely to 'Aadha Main Aadhi Vo', you will realise how strong this bond between father and daughter is. The song is bound to bring tears to those listening. It is just very emotional.''

According to Ajay, the character Bholaa is motivated by the promise of meeting his daughter, which prevents him from breaking down despite the challenges he faces.

“...the entire journey of Bholaa has just one meaning, one quest. It is his desire to get united with the daughter who has been separated from him since her birth,” added Ajay, who is also the director for this film.

In Bholaa, Ajay plays a prisoner who is tasked with transferring sick police officers to a hospital while they are attacked by the leader of a drug ring. He must complete this task in order to meet his daughter after 10 years.

Alongside Ajay and Tabu, the film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Gajraj Rao and Vineet Kumar. Bholaa is set to release in theatres on March 30.
