Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan and Jyotika-starrer Shaitaan now streaming on Netflix

Directed by Vikas Bahl, the supernatural thriller was released theatrically on March 8

Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan and Jyotika’s latest supernatural thriller Shaitaan is currently streaming on Netflix, the streamer announced on Saturday alongside a video of the lead actors indulging in an ominous exchange.

“It is wise to be wary of a Shaitaan who comes bearing gifts Watch @ajaydevgn and @actormaddy bring you to the edge of your seats in Shaitaan, now streaming on Netflix,” the streaming platform captioned its post on Instagram.

The video begins with Madhavan offering Devgn sweets to mark the release of their film on the streamer. However, Ajay insists Madhavan to have the first bite. When Madhavan refuses to do so, Ajay angrily stomps out.

The skit is an allusion to the film’s storyline which follows the struggles of Kabir (Ajay) and his wife (Jyotika) to free their daughter Janhvi (Janki Bodiwala) from the clutches of an evil sorcerer (Madhavan). Madhavan gains control over Janhvi after she eats a sweet offered by him.

The video ends with clips from the trailer of Shaitaan.

Released theatrically on March 8, the Vikas Bahl directorial registered a strong opening day collection of Rs 14.75 nett in India. The film went on to mint Rs 79.75 crore nett in the first week of its release.

Shaitaan is jointly produced by Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of Panorama Studios, Devgn films and Jio Studios.
