Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s romance drama Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha will not release on July 5, the makers announced on Tuesday, clarifying that the decision was taken “on the request of the exhibitors and the distribution fraternity”.

“Dear Friends,On request of the exhibitors and the distribution fraternity, we have collectively decided to shift the release date of our film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. New Release date to be announced soon,” they said in a statement on social media.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha promises to be an epic romantic drama spanning from 2002 to 2023. The story revolves around two lovers, played by Ajay and Tabu, who are slated to meet after two decades. Shantanu Maheshwari portrays a younger version of Ajay, while the younger version of Tabu is played by Saiee Manjrekar. The film also features Jimmy Sheirgill as Tabu’s husband.

The original soundtrack of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is composed by Oscar-winning musician M.M. Kreem, with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir.

Presented by NH Studioz and produced by Narendra Hirawat, Kumar Mangat Pathak (Panorama Studios), Sangeeta Ahir and Shital Bhatia, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is a Friday Filmworks Production.

Meanwhile, Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s action thriller Kill, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment, is going to release on July 5 as per schedule.
