Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has shared a set of behind-the-scenes photos showcasing her preparation for red-carpet appearances at the recently held 77th annual Cannes Film Festival in France.
The actress posted a series of black-and-white pictures on Instagram that show her getting ready for the events. In one photo, Aishwarya is seen applying mascara. Other photos show her looking at a mirror in what appears to be a makeup room.
Aishwarya represented the beauty brand L'Oréal Paris at the festival.
“ #LorealParisCannes #LorealParis #CannesFilmFestival #WorthIt @gregwilliamsphotography,” she captioned the carousel on Tuesday.
The actress, accompanied by her daughter Aaradhya, wore a black-and-white Falguni Shane Peacock gown for her first red carpet appearance at the prestigious festival this year on May 16. The custom corseted gown featured dramatic white puff sleeves and a 3D rose stitched to the waistline. Highlights of Aishwarya’s outfit included gold accents on the bust and a floor-sweeping train adorned with hand-beaten gold flowers.
For her second appearance on May 17, Aishwarya chose a double-shaded ensemble from the same fashion house. The embellished column gown featured massive silver-and-turquoise fringes, complete with a dramatic train.
Aishwarya has been a regular at the Cannes Film Festival since her 2002 debut for her hit film Devdas. She was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023), where her portrayal of the scheming Chola queen Nandini received accolades from moviegoers.
