Akhil Akkineni steps into the shoes of a katana-wielding, gun-toting secret agent with a jacked-up body and top-notch combat skills in the trailer of Surender Reddy’s upcoming Telugu-language spy action film Agent, starring Mammootty as a RAW official and Dino Morea as the evil crime lord.

The two-minute-19-second-long trailer, dropped by AK Entertainments on Tuesday evening, begins with the introduction of Akhil as a long-haired, suit-clad spy. We see a montage of his exploits as he kicks, slams and shoots goons with ease. We are then introduced to a criminal syndicate led by a crime lord (Dino Morea).

The Indian secret service hatches a plan to destroy the powerhouse of the crime syndicate. But the near-impossible mission has to be pulled off by a special agent.

The video then introduces Mammootty’s character as an upright officer trying to end the reign of the syndicate. He enlists Akhil to be the special agent in the mission. We are also shown a glimpse of his romance with Sakshi Vaidya’s character.

The trailer concludes with a shirtless Akhil brandishing a powerful cannon gun and firing bullets.

“Are you ready for a wild ride? My wild friends ….. It’s time to unleash the madness on April 28th. See you at the theatre 🔥🔥🔥,” Akhil wrote on Twitter alongside the trailer.
