Following her climactic battle with Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff in Marvel Studios’ miniseries WandaVision, Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness forms a coven to regain her powers in the trailer of Agatha All Along, a spin-off to the 2021 series.
Dropped by Marvel Entertainment on Monday, the two-minute-20-second-long trailer centres on the witch Agatha Harkness, first introduced in WandaVision. It begins by showing Agatha living her life as a detective, completely oblivious of her past as a powerful witch. While investigating Wanda’s body one day, a mysterious goth teen frees Agatha, reminding her of how Wanda put her under a distorted spell and stripped her of her powers.
Driven by vengeance, Agatha embarks on a journey down the legendary Witches’ Road to retrieve her past glory and become a powerful witch again. However, the journey is a “death wish” and Agatha doesn’t have her powers anymore.
In order to emerge once again as one of the original witches from the Salem witch trials, Agatha begins assembling her own coven in order to survive the treacherous journey and get back her powers.
Agatha’s team of witches includes characters played by Heartstopper’s Joe Locke, The White Lotus’ Aubrey Plaza, Beau Is Afraid’s Patti LuPone and Home Economics’ Sasheer Zamata.
Also starring Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili and Debra Jo Rupp, Agatha All Along is directed by Jac Schaeffer, Rachel Goldberg and Gandja Montiero.
The executive producers of Agatha All Along include Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos as well as WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer.
Agatha All Along is slated to premiere on DisneyPlus on September 18.
