After playing Archie Andrews in Zoya Akhtar’s coming-of-age Netflix film The Archies, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda is set to hit the big screen with Sriram Raghavan's upcoming film Ekkis.
A source said Ekkis will be a biopic of the 1971 War Hero Arun Khetarpal. “Agastya has attended several acting workshops with Sriram and specially trained acting coaches to step into the shoes of India’s most celebrated war hero, Arun Khetarpal,” the source added.
The biopic will be Agastya’s second project as an actor after The Archies in which he featured alongside other star kids like Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor.
Ekkis will be Sriram’s second collaboration with producer Dinesh Vijan after 2015’s Badlapur. The director is known for critically acclaimed movies like Ek Haseena Thi, Johnny Gaddar, Badlapur and Andha Dhun.
Veteran actor Dharmendra will be seen in a pivotal role in Ekkis, which is scheduled to go on the floors in January 2024.
