Sara Ali Khan’s Ae Watan Mere Watan is set to make its premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 21, the actress confirmed in an Instagram post on Tuesday on the occasion of World Radio Day.

“Desh ki kahaani, Usha ki zubaani World Radio Day par! #AeWatanMereWatanOnPrime, Mar 21 only on @primevideoin,” Sara posted on Instagram alongside an audio clip where she passionately narrates a vision of waking up in an Independent India, setting the tone for the film.

Directed by Kannan Iyer, Ae Watan Mere Watan is a fictional tale that delves into the inspiring story of an underground radio station that played a pivotal role in shaping India’s struggle for independence during the British Raj. It draws inspiration from the life of freedom fighter Usha Mehta and pays homage to the numerous unsung heroes whose dedication, sacrifice and resilience contributed to the country’s independence.

Co-written by Darab Farooqui and Iyer, Ae Watan Mere Watan also features Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O' Neil,and Anand Tiwari. Emraan Hashmi makes a special guest appearance.

Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the historical thriller is backed by the expertise of Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra.

Ae Watan Mere Watan will be available for streaming in Hindi, with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
