Advance booking for Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie Jawan has begun in the Middle East with more than three weeks to go for the film to hit theatres on September 7, according to a report by Box Office India.
Quoting a tweet from the official social media handle of Star Cinemas, a prominent cinema chain in the UAE, the report states that the ticket booking process is now open for the action thriller directed by Atlee. Yash Raj Films is handling the overseas distribution of the film, which features Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist, as per the report.
Several fan accounts of Shah Rukh have claimed that advance booking for the upcoming actioner has not only begun in the UAE but also in the US, Germany and Australian markets.
Meanwhile, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to keep the buzz around Jawan going. Chaleya, the second song from the movie, was released earlier this week. The melodious track features Shah Rukh romancing his leading lady Nayanthara.
Jawan marks Shah Rukh’s second film release of the year, following Siddharth Anand’s blockbuster spy action thriller Pathaan, which amassed an impressive Rs 543.05 crore nett in India during its theatrical run. Its global earnings exceeded Rs 1050 crore. Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh’s Pathaan co-star, will be playing a cameo in Jawan.
Shah Rukh will also be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, slated to hit theatres in December, where he will be sharing screen space with Taapsee Pannu.
