Following the release of Samantha and Vijay Deverakonda’s Kushi and Dulquer Salmaan’s King of Kotha trailers, the makers of several upcoming Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films dropped new trailers and teasers last week. Here’s a look.
Adiyae (Tamil)
The official trailer of Tamil-language fantasy romantic film Adiyae was released by Think Music India. Directed by Vignesh Karthick and produced by Prabha Premkumar, the film stars G.V. Prakash Kumar, Venkat Prabhu, Gouri G Kishan, Madumkesh and Mirchi Vijay.
The two-minute-35-second-long trailer follows a young man living in a parallel universe. We also get a glimpse of a love story in the real world before a fatal accident turns the young man’s world upside down.
Adiyae will arrive in cinemas on August 25.
Gandeevadhari Arjuna (Telugu)
Junglee Music Telugu released the official trailer of Telugu-language spy action film Gandeevadhari Arjuna. Written and directed by Praveen Sattaru, the film stars Varun Tej, Sakshi Vaidya, Nassar, Vimala Raman, Vinay Rai, Narain and Roshini Prakash.
In the two-minute-long trailer, Varun Tej plays a spy, who is tasked to protect the minister of environment from a ruthless gangster. Filled with glimpses of action sequences, it promises an action-heavy affair.
Gandeevadhari Arjuna will hit theatres on August 25.
Kshetrapathi (Kannada)
Anand Audio unveiled the official trailer of its upcoming Kannada-language film Kashetrapathi. Written and directed by Shrikant Katagi, the film stars Naveen Shankar, Archana Jois, Achyutkumar, Rahul Ainapur, Krishna Hebbale, Shailashree Urs and Natya Ranga.
The two-minute-37-second-long trailer starts with an elderly man committing suicide. His son then goes on a journey to attain justice for his death. He revolts against a scheming landlord who has been robbing the land of local farmers.
Kashetrapathi will arrive in cinemas on August 18.
Point Range (Malayalam)
The trailer of Malayalam-language film Point Range was released last week. Directed by Sainu Chavakkadan and produced by Shiji Mohammed, the film stars Sarath Appani and Riyaz Khan in lead roles.
The one-minute-33-second-long trailer hints at a drug cartel selling MDMA in Pondicherry. It also includes themes of romance, gang rivalry and brutal violence.
Point Range will arrive in theatres on August 18.
