Actress Aditi Rao Hydari appears in her Bibbo Jaan avatar from filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT debut Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar to offer hilarious dating advice in a new video dropped by Netflix.

“Hold your hearts because a new love guru is in town! Our lovely Bibbo Jaan has your love life and your date nights sorted! Go see her pro advice in action in Heeramandi, now streaming only on Netflix,” the streamer captioned the video posted on Instagram on Sunday.

The video begins with Aditi advising her fans not to fall in love easily and then talking about how to make the first date memorable. “After your first date, leave behind something that symbolises you — for instance, an earring — so that your partner can never forget you,” she says.

Urging the fans to play hard-to-get and not lose sleep over a first date, the actress lightheartedly says, “If they text you a ‘You up?’ late at night, just go to sleep. Nothing comes above your sleep.”

Aditi also urges her audience to stay mysterious and refrain from answering all the questions asked of them. “If they don’t want to post any pictures with you, take them out of the picture completely,” the actress says, emphasising the importance of self-love in a relationship.

The video ends with Aditi’s Bibbo Jaan urging the viewers to watch the passionate love stories of Lahore’s courtesans in Heeramandi.

In the period drama web series, Aditi’s Bibbo Jaan stands out as a strong-willed woman, motivated by a deep longing for independence, not only from colonial rule but also from societal limitations.
