Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starrer Adipurush reported a humongous collection of Rs 129 crore nett at the Indian box office in all languages during its first weekend.
Inspired by the Indian epic Ramayana, Adipurush had a fantastic start at the box office. The film (all languages) raked in Rs 85 crore nett in India on Day 1. However, the collection fell drastically to Rs 64 crore nett on Day 2, followed by Rs 65 crore nett on the third day.
The total earnings of the film on Day 1 worldwide was Rs 140 crore gross with Rs 38 crore coming from overseas markets. The big screen retelling of the Ramayana added another Rs 100 crore to the worldwide earnings on Saturday. It crossed the Rs 300 crore milestone on Sunday by adding an additional Rs 70 crore globally.
The Hindi version of Adipurush registered an opening day collection of approximately Rs 37.25 crore nett. The collections marginally increased to Rs 38 crore nett on Day 2 two and dropped to Rs 35 crore nett on Sunday.
