Prabhas’s Raghava and Kriti Sanon’s Janaki long for each other following the latter’s abduction by Lankesh in the VFX-heavy music video of the Adipurush song Ram Siya Ram, a rendition of the popular devotional song, dropped by T-Series on Monday.
Sung by Sachet Tandon and Parampara Tandon, the number garnered over 1.7 million views on YouTube in less than two hours since its release.
Sachet and Parampara have also scored the music for Ram Siya Ram, the lyrics for which have been penned by Manoj Muntashir Shukla.
In the two-minute-50-second-long video, we see glimpses of Prabhas and Kriti sitting among peacocks and sailing on a makeshift boat. The song then shows a heartbroken Raghava gearing up to bring back Janaki and seeking his devotee Bajrang’s help for the same. Ram Siya Ram primarily depicts the pain of the couple as Janaki waits for Raghava to rescue her from Lanka’s Ashok Vatika.
Both Prabhas and Kriti Sanon shared the music video on Instagram and captioned it, “The soul of Adipurush Ram Siya Ram”
Helmed by Tanhaji director Om Raut, the film also stars Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage. It is billed as the most expensive Indian film ever made with a whooping budget of Rs 700 crore.
The action adventure film is based on Hindu epic Ramayana and is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar for T-Series and Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair for Retrophiles.
Adipurush is slated to hit the theatres on June 16.
