Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starrer Adipurush (all languages) earned approximately Rs 3.25 crore nett — its lowest daily collection — on Friday, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 263.25 crore nett after a fortnight, according to trade reports.
The Hindi version of Adipurush only managed to collect Rs 1.30 crore nett at the domestic box office. On Friday, the film had an overall Hindi occupancy of 11.20 per cent, says the Box Office India report.
Adipurush released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages on June 16, garnering a phenomenal opening day collection of Rs 86 crore nett. It enjoyed a blockbuster weekend, earning Rs 129 crore nett in all languages at the domestic box office. However, the earnings took a hit during weekdays, concluding the first week with a collection of Rs 260 crore nett in all languages.
The Hindi version of Adipurush collected approximately Rs 37.25 crore nett on the first day, followed by Rs 38 crore nett on the second day and Rs 35 crore nett on Day 3 (Sunday). The earnings dropped to a single digit Monday onwards. The first-week collection of the Hindi version totaled Rs 129 crore nett.
Adipurush, an adaptation of the epic Ramayana, faced substantial criticism for its underwhelming visual effects, weak writing and controversial dialogues, prompting the makers to modify some of the dialogues and reduce the ticket price to woo audiences.
