Writing about how her sickness has taken a toll on her voice, Adele said she was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through the break. “I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before the shows resumed and now I’m sick again,” she added.

The Rolling in the Deep singer further wrote that her doctor has recommended her to rest “thoroughly”. “The remaining five weekends of this leg are being postponed to a later date. We are already working out the details and you will be sent the information asap,” she concluded her note.

“I love you, I’ll miss you like mad and I’m sorry for the inconvenience,” Adele wrote for her fans in the caption.

Adele’s shows in Las Vegas, known as Weekends With Adele Residency, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace began in November 2022 and will run till June 15 this year. “This residency, these shows have changed my life. I desperately needed to fall back in love with performing live again, and I have. I needed to reconnect with my songs and remember what they mean to me, and I have,” the Hello singer had tweeted in October last year.

The singer also said being on the Residency stage has been a “truly extraordinary restorative experience” that she will never forget. “All the hilarious, soulful, wild and heartbreaking interactions we’ve had are banked in my mind for life. The looks on your faces, seeing you laugh and cry together singing your hearts out and hoarding bags of confetti,” she wrote, adding that it is crazy how “how joyful a show full of sad songs can be”.

During a Vegas residency performance on January 27, Adele hinted that a new album is in the works. Her latest album 30 was released in November 2021.
