Sushmita Sen in Aarya Season 3 Part 1

Cruising on a powerful storyline and impressive acting, Aarya Season 3 turns out to be a promising and intriguing successor to its critically acclaimed predecessors. With the talented Sushmita Sen as its eponymous protagonist, the latest season unveils the intricate nexus and old foes determined to distract her from her ambitions, along with a family empowerment angle acting as a ray of light amidst the bloodshed and bullets. One of the finest details of this show is the remarkable character development observed in every season, revealing the creativity of the writers. The transition in Aarya's character over the course of three seasons is outstanding, projecting her as a fierce and strong woman. I absolutely enjoyed watching the first part of this incredible season. Kudos to Sushmita for pulling off such a complex character in style! (What did you think of Part 1 of Season 3 of Aarya... Season 3 begins where Season 2 left off. It begins with "Kahani abhi khatam nahi hua" and brings the fierce Aarya back. In the earlier season, she avenged her husband's, sister's and brother's deaths and demolished all potent competitors. Part 1 of season 3 begins with Aarya in a bathrobe puffing a cigar, consulting with Kedia on how to expand her business in supply and transport. Though warned by Kedia, she falls into another trap. Anton betrays everyone. Nalini Sahiba enters as another lady don who is hunting for a tigress with her cubs. A tussle between Nalini and Aarya is imminent.

Part 1 has too many sub plots... not only betrayals and action sequences but also the friendship between Aarya and Maya, who can sacrifice for each other. A husband's love — how Sooraj is devoted to Nandini, eager to know how she breathed her last breath. ACP Khan's loyalty and his recovery from failures. What keeps us waiting for Part 2 is the question whether Aarya's children misunderstand her? Her son Veer gets involved in Aarya's world and also tries to seek revenge against the one killed his lover. Aarya also has to deal with Adi who gets into trouble at school. The questions which the audience are left asking at the end are about how she will retrieve her seized goods and whether the misunderstandings between her and her children, break her.

After watching both seasons of Aarya, we know that this series is different. The story and its characters are dark. In spite of the fact that she belongs to a huge, rich business (of which not all are white) family, Aarya wants to live life decently and start everything afresh for her three children’s futures. But fate draws her to a messy world of crime. And for the safety of her children she chooses the darkest path. But Season 3 takes us nowhere. Now the series enters into a boring, never-ending, negative, black tunnel. The brave, powerful main character Aarya's portrayal also fails to evoke empathy. Only the acting of Sushmita Sen is super strong. But in my opinion the third season is an unnecessary extension.

For me, Part 1 of Season 3 of Aarya — which currently offered us only four episodes — was an engaging watch and kept me glued to the screen. It is gripping from its first scene till the climax. This part of the season ended in a very intelligent, interesting and suspenseful way, which left me much more intrigued. After watching the first part, I can say surely that just like the first two seasons of this crime drama series, this fresh season will also garner outstanding acclaim from both critics and audiences.
