Sushmita Sen’s Aarya Sareen gets shot and traverses through a near-death experience on her way to becoming a mafia queen in Disney+ Hotstar’s Aarya Season 3 teaser, dropped on Tuesday.

The 30-second-long teaser begins with a man shooting Sushmita’s character right in the chest, making her collapse on the floor. Her voiceover narrates how she was forced to follow a path that she never wanted for herself — she recalls her life after her husband’s death when she had to join a drug mafia gang in order to protect her three kids.

Incorporating flashbacks from the previous seasons, the teaser shows Sushmita’s fierce character smoking a cigar and shooting from a helicopter. She is also shown making deals with gangsters. The video ends with her children staring at her collapsed body in shock while Sushmita’s voiceover says she never anticipated this particular “ending” of her life.

Sharing the clip, the streamer wrote about Aarya’s dilemma in the description. “Jiske sar pe taaj hota hai, nishaana bhi uss hi pe hota hai. #HotstarSpecials #Aarya Season 3, streaming from 3rd Nov only on @disneyplushotstar,” it reads.

Also starring Virti Vaghani, Sikandar Kher and Maya Sarao, Aarya Season 3 will be streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from November 3.
