Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan and her long-time boyfriend Nupur Shikhare’s three-day wedding festivities kicked off with a welcome dinner in Udaipur on Sunday, marking the beginning of a series of events including a pajama party and sangeet, the 27-year-old bride has revealed on Instagram.

The celebrations began with ‘hi tea’ at Ridgeview Restaurant in Udaipur at Taj Aravali Resort and Spa on Sunday at 4:30pm. The newlyweds, who tied the knot on January 3 in Mumbai, hosted a welcome dinner at Odeypore Lounge later in the day.

Ira recently shared a video of her wedding invitation outlining an itinerary of the festivities on her Instagram story. As per the video, a mehendi brunch and a pajama party are scheduled for today. Ira and Nupur are all set to attend their sangeet ceremony on January 9 (Tuesday).

The three-day-long affair will conclude with the couple exchanging vows in a traditional wedding ceremony on January 10 at Mayur Bahg.

Ira, born to Aamir and his first wife Reena Dutta, provided a glimpse into the ongoing celebrations. Ira, clad in a black dress, can be seen dancing with Nupur in one of the videos she shared on Instagram.

Ira also shared pictures on Instagram revealing how the celebrations have kicked off on a fit note.

“Can it be our wedding without a bunch of workouts,” wrote Ira alongside pictures of her and Nupur working out with friends on Saturday.

The festivities will reportedly be a star-studded affair.
