Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s 2009 release 3 Idiots and 2016 sports drama Dangal are among the top 10 most-liked Hindi films since 2009, according to Ormax Media.
S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR and Baahubali, and the Hindi version of the Kannada film Kantara also feature in the list, a report from Ormax Media highlighted recently.
However, Aamir’s 3 Idiots and Dangal are among the oldest films to feature in the list, highlighting how the actor-filmmaker’s work has been liked by generations of viewers.
3 Idiots, also starring R. Madhavan, Kareena Kapoor and Sharman Joshi, a captivating story based on the education system, garnered immense love from the audience, primarily from the college-going generation when it hit theatres in 2009. The film did well at the domestic as well as the international box office.
Dangal, on the other hand, offered an inspirational real-life story based on the journey of a former wrestler, Mahavir Singh Phogat, and his dream of winning a gold medal for his country in the Commonwealth Games.
